Bardahl II P-51
Bardahl II was brought to us as a 1960's endurance racer. We restored the interior of the aircraft back to a stock Mustang interior. The aircraft was completely rewired. The hydraulic systems, flight controls, instrument panels, and engine systems were completely overhauled.
The engine was overhauled by Dwight Thorn, and five hours were put on the engine in a test cell.
The exterior paint job was saved and restored where necessary.
Behind the Scenes
Before being restored by GossHawk, the cockpit was painted in all kinds of colors. If E.D. Weiner fabricated a bracket for an instrument or some type of control, he painted it with whatever color was within reach.
